Hello, this is Luke Mangan. I just wanted to say how excited I am that Pacific Dawn is now home to a second ‘Salt Grill by Luke Mangan’. This connection with P&O Cruises just gets stronger and stronger.
‘Salt Grill’ on Pacific Dawn draws on our great experience onboard Pacific Jewel. Some things are a little different on Pacific Dawn following her multi-million dollar refurbishment. The open kitchen will be an exciting feature and I know passengers are going to really like the restaurant’s decor. We’ve come such a long way since the first ‘Salt Grill by Luke Mangan’ debuted on Pacific Jewel in December last year. And there’s still more to come when Pacific Pearl gets her own Salt Grill later in the year.
Each Salt Grill will have its own variations here and there but there are some things that won’t change because it really goes to the heart of what I am all about. I am just as passionate about creating intimate onboard restaurants that become a highlight of the cruise experience. And I am as committed as ever when it comes to showcasing wonderful Australian meat and seafood and serving them in light, simple recipes that allow the produce to shine through.
It gives me a great sense of satisfaction when I see passengers enjoying Salt Grill signature dishes. Going to sea with Pacific Jewel was fantastic and to be doing it again with Pacific Dawn just adds to the excitement. Whether it is on Pacific Jewel, Pacific Dawn or, later on, Pacific Pearl, I hope a visit to a ‘Salt Grill by Luke Mangan’ will really add something to your cruise experience.
Regards
Luke Mangan
