Simon has gone home for a well deserved holiday and now I have joined Pacific Dawn as the relief Hotel Director to hold the fort while he away. I have been working onboard ships since 1988 for P&O Australia and Princess Cruises.
I first served as Hotel Director, onboard Pacific Sun from May 2008, where I stayed until just recently. I transferred to Australia’s First Superliner on 31st July, just in time for the fantastic 3-day Food and Wine cruise.
I have worked on many ships for Princess Cruises including Coral, Dawn and Ocean Princess.
I first started my career at sea as a Casino Cashier and then moved into the Pursers /Hotel Department in 1994. I have been to lots of fantastic destinations, and met lots of interesting people along the way. Prior to coming to sea I worked for a number of large Hotels in the UK.
In the role of Hotel Director, I head up a team of colleagues for a department that offers Food and Beverage, Accommodation, Entertainment, Medical Services, Casino, Boutiques, Photography, Shore Excursions, Spa Services, Laundry, Art, logistics, banking administration and many other facilities. The hotel team onboard Pacific Dawn consists of more than 500 crew members whose goal is to provide you with the holiday of a lifetime and excellent service.
When I am not at sea, I return to my home which is near Liverpool in England. My passion when I am at home is to drive my new mini ‘Toby’ and spend time with my family.
