The food and wine cruise

Hi Everyone

This is my last blog for a bit as I am due to go on leave. Jane Herron will be taking over as Hotel Director on Pacific Dawn – I am sure you are going to love Jane.

Anyway, before I leave I want to tell you about the three day food and wine cruise we had onboard recently.

All three dinners were absolutely fantastic – culminating in an amazing seven-course degustation meal on the last night.

On the formal night I was sitting with a lovely party of guests and I had the most amazing sea bass.  After dinner, we enjoyed a Laser Dance in the atrium. Tasha and Chloe did a fantastic job, perfectly reflecting the multicolored lasers off their mirrored costumes so they bounced around all three levels of the main atrium.

We then proceed to Deck 14 for Jazz in the Dome. The multimillion dollar venue was beautifully lit cool blue making it the perfect venue for international Jazz musician/vocalist Nielson Gough and his band.  The whole evening was a luscious cornucopia of fantastic food, excellent company and world class entertainment, and I was working!!!!  Imagine how much fun the passengers had!!

    Had a ball on the three day cruise to nowhere….we party to early hours in the dome night club …after a fantastic dinner.. and a show.

    I cannot find any previous posts – so I am assuming they have gone forever. I am sure it's been discussed previously, but does anybody know where the dancing/night club will be on the Jewel. I looked at the plan and I can only see where the bars are. I'd like to think there was still somewhere to go till the wee hours and not just sit and have a drink…. we've just come back from the Dawn, and am booking again for next year. Thanks.

    Thanks Rachel for the directions to the Cruising Chatter. Found one of the posts I was looking for – the others not there – shame. Anyway will be booking in a few days – we cannot decide if it will be just us girls,or partners too…. decisions decisions. Sounds like you and Bec765 gave the dome a workout.

    We were on the fod and wine 31jul – 3 aug on Pacific Dawn, my husband and I alone. The weather was perfect, the seas perfect. Although in the Dome on saturday night everyone was swaying side to side – not sure if it was the sea or the fun of it all. We have been on two cruises prior to this with the kids and had a ball. You never see them and they are so happy with kids club etc… This one was different because we only had ourselves, met heaps of gorgeous people and danced/partied the nights away. It was was the best ever!! I highly recommend it to couples or groups looking for a fun weekend that doesnt cost the earth and all your entertainment/accomodation and food is catered for. Fantastic GO FOR IT !!!

    Nightclub on the Jewel is in the Jewel Blogg. P & O have announced the Attic will be the late night venue. The Attic is currently the Teen centre and P & O will change it to a nightclub. It is located on deck 14 opposite the Kama Gym.
