During my last 10 years at sea I’ve had the pleasure to do many spectacular sailaways from many renowned ports around the globe. There is no doubt that a sailaway from Sydney is one of the most striking in the world. Yesterday we had the best possible start to the cruise with the most amazing weather and as you can see from the photos we had an astonishing sunset to wave us farewell.

Hopefully you will be able to join me one day to experience first hand what I am fortunate to be doing right now. This is truly a memory that will stay with me forever.

Hi Thomas I couldn’t agree with you more. The view and the excitement is one that will remain with my family. We even got to wave to our relatives on North Head and we could see as clear as a picture. We can not wait till November until we do it all again. CHEERS.

I agree the view is just great, but then isn’t it great to just sail in and out of SYDNEY anytime of the day or night.
We have such a magnificent harbour to sail into and out of, you only just have to look around when the ships sail in or out how many people cram themselves up the front, whether it is cold or raining or sunny it is always the same.
Keep up the good work P&O will see you again in 2010 for my !!!!!!lost count of cruises

I would like to know more about the children centre for 7 to 10 yo. I have previously been on 5 cruises but this will be the first with children. Maybe child care staff can write a blogg or show some pictures of the centre. Q: can children come and go as they please. I really would not like my 8yo to roam the ship unattended. Do children have to be signed in and out like in a land based child care centre? I know they will be totally safe and have heaps of fun but I would like to know more about how the centre onboard operates.

This is probably answer all of your questions
